ABC Childcare Crew is run by Alison Hooper, Dawn Gardner and
Tara Parsons. The organisation is affiliated to Alphabet Childcare, which is an employment agency for nannies and nursery nurses, established in 1990. Alphabet enjoys an excellent reputation for providing high-calibre qualified and experienced staff.

Tara qualified as a nursery nurse in 1993, obtaining a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare. She then worked as a nanny in America and in the UK. In 1994 Tara took her career further with Bristol Social Services, initially in a day nursery and then as a family worker. Next she spent three years at university to gain a degree in Social Science. Throughout her studies and assignments, Tara remained registered with Alphabet Childcare, until she became a partner in 1998.

Alison became a qualified NNEB nursery nurse in 1990. Throughout
two years at college, she served as a holiday playscheme worker;
this led to a post as assistant leader. She also performed temporary nanny assignments, covering crèche, nursery nursing and babysitting. From 1991 Alison worked for Bristol Social Services as a nursery nurse, then in 1998 she became a children and family support worker in the Bristol East area. Having a long association with Alphabet Childcare, Alison became a partner in 2000.

Dawn Gardner's career caring for children began in 1978 as a residential social worker; then in 1988 she registered as a childminder. She also worked as a nanny. Having taken a Diploma in Nursery Nursing ( NNEB ), Dawn moved to Bristol in 1994 and registered with Alphabet Childcare, a recruitment agency for nannies and nursery nurses, and worked on various assignments. Dawn was invited to join the team in 2001. In August 2003 she became a partner in ABC Childcare Crew.
